You seem to be LOVING looking into my life which surprises me a little, because just like you, I’m literally winging my way through it still trying to figure out if I’ve got my undies on the right way whilst trying to find a deodorant that really works. (don’t worry, I think a whole blog post should be dedicated to that beauty find!)
But the more we share, the more we can really help each other out. Over the years, I’ve made an effort to switch out the vast majority of my make-up bag to make sure it is hormone loving – that is, it doesn’t contain a bucket load of nasty chemicals (aka neurotoxins) that end up messing about with our health and our hormones. I admit, from time to time, I’ve purchased something without great thought. But I’m so grateful to be gifted a lot of goodies which is how I can compare and contrast various brands. Over time I’ve found some amazing products and in the vein of sharing what I love, I’m here today to share with you some of my absolute tried and tested favourites.
UM this is, without doubt my hands down most favourite beauty product and best kept secret. So beautiful, the texture, coverage, consistency, how it goes on the skin. I LOVE this little shimmery mix. You can check it out and many of these products at Cleanse Skincare. Did I mention I love it?
La Mav Foundation
This beauty was gifted to me by the lovely ladies at Beautiful Because and I have to say I’ve been using it for over a year now. I like its coverage, it gives me a little more. I find it works best if I apply it with a brush straight after my new primer. Did I mention how much I’m in love with the primer?
When Emmily Banks from Depths of Beauty whispered the sweet news that this product was stocked at Mecca Cosmetica I almost feel over because I don’t know about you but I love walking into that place! This organic powder takes a little getting used to, not in a bad way but it does feel very silky on the skin. It’s a staple in my beauty bag.
Bare Minerals Blush
Also from Mecca – probably not my most hormone friendly but mineral none the less. This blush I’ve used for maybe 5 years. I’m almost at the end of it (it LASTS), so it might be time to consider something different. I do like the rosy glow this on gives.
These are beautiful colours and apply so easily – I find that some of the more natural bands are difficult to move around on the skin but not this! I also LOVE Inika colours and use Ere Perez too.
Bare Minerals Mascara
I’ve used various mascaras and I do love the Ere Perez one too. I use my bare minerals one when I have a special occasion as I find it separates my lashes nicely.
Another LOVE – Inika black eye pencil is excellent in how it goes on and how it lasts. This one was gifted to me recently at Gwinganna. I also love my brown Ere Perez liner too.
Now I’ve a few more tricks up my sleeve before I leave you with this goodness…
My friends at Cleanse Skincare have generously given you 15% off just because you and I are besties! To get 15% off across store use the code ‘NKLOVES’ at checkout and save. ‘GET THE PRIMER!’ Did I say that out loud?
Next on my list, if you want a little more on why natural beauty is so important (did you know that it’s not government regulated meaning they can put whatever ingredients they like even if it is going to give us cancer – madness!), you must (please) check out my debut Wellness Collective Radio Episode #1 released just this week here where I talk with the best in the business as to why we need to make the switch. The Radio Show is just warming up and this is a FREE episode so don’t miss it!
I have a lot in my bag of tricks but these are the best of the best that I’ve shared here today (at least for me). But before I go, do you have a product you love and I haven’t mentioned? I’d love to know (as I’m sure everybody else will appreciate it too!) Let me know in the comments below and be sure to share the love and share this post to help other women make great lifestyle choices.

Just curious as to why the Bare Minerals isn’t so hormone friendly?
I’ve been looking for new foundation so I’ll give La Mav a try!! 🙂
I don’t think it is terrible by any stretch but I think there are possibly some better? Some of the ingredients I don’t recognise in bare minerals. x
Thank you x
