Good Food Friday : RAW-ness – my raw chocolate tart

So I posted this beauty on Instagram (you can find me on there – natkringoudis) and you were all screaming for the recipe! Meet my Raw Chocolate Tart!

Base:

3 cups of almond meal
1/2 cup of melted coconut butter
1 tbs rice syrup (or honey)

Combine ingredients. Press into cupcake tin moulds. If you’re not opposed to cooked, you could bake these until golden in a moderate oven. Alternatively, pop them in the freezer to allow to set hard – this will make it easy to remove them in once piece.

Filling:

1 banana
2 avocados
1/2 cup cacao butter
1/2 cup cacao

Blend the ingredients (you may like to soften the cacao butter) until a very smooth consistence. You may like to sweeten the filling slightly depending on your preference.

Spoon filling into bases, chill in fridge. Garnish with mint or berries and serve.

Could you sub coconut oil for the coconut butter?

Yum Nat, what a great recipe idea! People usually think raw desserts are tricky to make but they can be so simple and delicious!

I love the base you’ve made here. I’ll give it a go tonight 😉

    Thanks!

I finally got around to making these! Nat, they are sooo delicious! Loved this recipe. I made them after completing your cleanse (which by the way, everyone should give a go next time it’s offered) and they were fabulous. I even ate them for breakfast! Good fats and a little protein, right? 🙂 I might even freeze some next time and pop them out when I want a little treat.
