My chat with Relauncher’s Alison Morgan

Are you enjoying these Wellness Women Wednesdays?  I’m loving how each of us view fertility as something different and most of all my message seems to be infiltrating – because fertility IS so much more than babies.  Today I’m delighted to chat with Alison Morgan about fertility, life and how being healthy is highly addictive!

What does fertility mean to you?
Fertility is so beautiful.  To me, it tells you when the body is in a healthy state, recognising it’s capable of carrying a new life.

What the one thing you do regularly that connects you back to yourself as a woman?
I love regular yoga practice.  To hold the poses correctly, you must be present and in the moment.  It’s at this moment you truly connect with your body, mind and spirit.

If you could tell your teen self one piece of advice about health/fertility/hormones, what would it be?
Steady on with the drinks and partying…!  Oh, and stop with the HJ’s & Maccas!!!

Would you change something you did in previous years with regard to fertility and health?  If so what might that be?
I’m incredibly fortunate in that I conceived both my children very easily.  I credit that to the fact that I was particularly active and healthy (once I got over my partying early 20’s…)
My advice is to not take health for granted.  There must always be an element of focus on living a healthy active life.  Your body will reward you by operating in the way it was designed to!

What ignites you?
Feeling and being healthy is highly addictive. Living with respect for your body gives you energy, breeds passion and in turn happiness.

What’s your one essential health item?
Sleep – without it, I’m rubbish!

Favourite food?
I go in phases.  At the moment, I’m indulging in savoury foods.  In particular homemade humus with flaxseed crackers.

Favourite movie or book?
High Fidelity

Cheesy addiction?
OMG – I still like to tune into Home & Away every now and again….ouch!

Morning or Evening routine?
Most mornings I wake up by 5am, meditate for 20 minutes, then kick into work.
I then make the school lunches at 6:30, followed by warm water with lemon juice & chopped ginger.
The mornings where I exercise before the school drop-off are slightly different – but everything still gets done.  On time too!

Upcoming Event:
Perth Health & Wellness Networking Event is coming up on 9th March. If you’re a green juice lover, blogger or business owner – this fun event has your name on it!
