Great info, we seem to have been socially conditioned to believe that PMS and Menopause symptoms are normal and we have to just put up with it. It’s great to learn that none of this is normal, it’s our bodies telling (screaming) us something is not right. Thanks Nat

Hi, I am on the 6th year of my menopause. My sleeping has been erratic for the past two years. I been prescribed sleeping tablets by doctors, which leave me feeling foggy and drugged. I have gained weight, 8lbs in total, I have not changed my diet, go to the gym at least 4 days a week. If I sleep 2 or 3 hours a night, this has been like this for two years now. When I go to my doctors, he said I need counselling, which I know I don’t. I have tried everything, literally. I have now come to end of my tether. I feel I have aged considerably these past two years.
Can you please advise me, what is the next step.

    Yours sincerely

    Jacqueline Kyriacou

Hi Jacqueline! I’m so sorry you are experiencing this. I’d love to help you more – I do offer skype consultations which can be specific to your body. You can however safely start with adding magnesium to your regime and see if this helps. Approx 1000mg to begin with daily and see if it improves sleep. From there you can drill down to the next step but starting with that would be the next step indeed. Nat x

I have just listened to your health talks with Sherrill Sellman as I have been trawling your website for information on menopause, weight gain, sleep deprivation, mood swings and stress. I have done your hormones worksheet and answered mostly 5’s – I am 60yrs young, was Married for 24yrs, have been divorced for 10 – after the split I had to move a long way from my children and friends to find an affordable place to live, threw myself into a 50hr/week stressful job which became my surrogate family’. During this time I have been going through menopause and the associated issues – I have not taken any medications for any of the symptoms but did start seeing a Naturopath for a few months – time and financial constraints getting in the way.. I guess my question to you is can you help? Would you suggest doing a stress Masterclass, particular diet. Herbs? Help please?
