Heal Your Gut recipe & giveaway

If you have been paying a skerrick of attention to anything I’ve been banging on about the past 6 years, you’ll know how passionate I am about healing the gut.  The gut is the pivot of your health.  When it’s working well it can utilise the nutrients in your food to fuel your entire body – hormones included.  When it’s damaged by way of constitution, inheritance, poor diet and lifestyle and medications like the pill and alike, it can be a real task to get it back on the happy train again.  I talk about it in great length in my Debunking PCOS download as to why you must fix it stat!  But my gorgeous wellness buddy Lee Holmes is back with a sizeable serving of gut goodness by way of her very exciting new ebook – Heal Your Gut!  After all, it’s all good and well to talk about it, it’s the next level of healing when you are doing great things about it!

Lee’s Super Green Soup

Ingredients

1 TBS EV Olive Oil
1 onion chopped
1 leek chopped
3 garlic cloves
2 sticks celery sliced
2 broccoli bunches chopped
1 bunch kale chopped
2 cups vegetable stock
1 can coconut milk (no additives)
Pinch Celtic sea salt
freshly ground pepper to taste
2 TBS Lemon and nutritional yeast flakes to serve

Method
Heat olive oil in a heavy based pan and brown onions, leek and garlic and add celery
Add broccoli and kale and stir fry for 5 minutes Pour in stock and coconut milk Bring to boil and then simmer for 15-20 mins Transfer to blender and blend until smooth Return to pan to heat
Season to taste Stir in 2 TBS Lemon and sprinkle on nutritional yeast flakes to serve

    I’m a mother of 4 teenage daughters who is always trying to feed then better & trying to be a good role model with diet & exercise. I do believe that our gut is the most important part of our body that determines how well we function. I want to be able to learn as much as possible to educate them so they in turn can educate their children & then their children etc! This is the only way we can start to be healthier humans by continuing to educate our loved ones & for them to pass this knowledge on . This is my legacy to my girls & grandchildren to come

    I would absolutely love this book as I believe I would greatly benefit from it. I am a 37 year old mum of three beautiful children. My youngest child was born in March last year and since her birth I have had immense trouble with digestion, bloating, wind etc. I have endured colon and endoscopy with both being all clear.     I’m also a grad of IIN and have been absolutely fascinated by and dedicated to learning more and more about how our bodies work and about food/nutrition.     I have been batteling food intolerances lactose, fructose and wheat intolerance and i find it hard to cater for my self running out of ideas and recipes. I have a supplement for diary but fructose is extremly difficult. I am over feeling sick all the time, and break out in rashs i cant pick what food is giving them to me . Ready to give up 🙁
