God’s Pharmacy

Did you see email that circulated a year or two ago titled God’s Pharmacy? It gave some great examples of foods that appear to look similar to specific organs and have been proven to provide essential nutrients for and treat the corresponding body parts. The idea that ‘like treats like’ is a common practice in many natural therapies including Chinese Medicine, Naturopathy and Homeopathy. Remedies may contain ingredients that in a large does would cause symptoms similar to the ones being treated. We know too much of one thing isn’t good for us, but including a wide variety of wholesome foods in our diet makes sure the body is supplied with all it needs and it isn’t scurrying to make up the difference.

The recipe for good health is really simple. It really is about keeping it basic. Basic works.

When I received the God’s Pharmacy email, I was blown away by just how clever nature is! Our bodies are designed to slip right in and work well within our surroundings. The earth is full of wonderful natural healing foods and plants – and once we know how to make best use of them, we can reap the benefits. I wanted to share a few of the examples from the email – especially those related to fertility. I love how we have been given little clues – it’s right in front of us! I believe God made it simple.

avocado

Avocados, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this fact? It takes exactly nine months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. (for more info on the growing of avos I can link you up to Warnie and Tim)

There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

figs

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility. Figs are historically known as an aphrodisiac too – and that helps fertility!

orange

Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts. Pregnant women often report cravings of orange juice. Just another great clue our bodies provide us with.

There were many other great examples in the email. I will share them with you down the track. I included these because they are specific to fertility itself. I love how we can resemble body parts with fruits and foods found in nature. Simple medicine can work very well to maintain great health.
