I had previously been on the pill and the implanon for several years , after coming off all hormone contraceptives and going through what I called the roller coaster ride of emotions, while regulating my cycle and I wanted to find an alternative option that was hormone free. I had to do a lot of my own research as at the time it was not favoured by GP’s as the preferred option. I am very grateful I had the agency and perseverance to seek varied information and make the choice I thought was best for me.
