A mid-week treat: raw cacao fudge bites

With all this cleansing talk, I’m hoping you feel inspired to make healthier creations from ingredients that go amazing things for your body. This recipe is via my good friend Mel Ambrosini. She’s one of my co-hosts on healthtalks and she is one very beautiful, clever woman.

She knows how to make food look good. She also knows why we need to get the goods in, everyday. So for all my cleansers and non cleansers alike, here is a bumper recipe for ALL.

And just because there is all this talk of cleansing and you didn’t take the challenge this time round – doesn’t mean you can enjoy these delicious treats! Plus – you will get a taste of just how delicious this cleansing caper really is. PLUS… I’m running another cleanse.

ROUND 2 OF CLEANSING STARTS NOV 5TH. You want to be in it? Email me – natalie at thepagodatree dot com dot au.

These are super easy, quick and ridiculously delicious! Great for an afternoon pick me up.

You can make a large batch and store them in a glass container in the freezer for ages.

What you need:

2 cups walnuts
2 1/2 cups medjool dates, pitted
1 cup cacao powder
Pinch of sea salt

What you do:

Soak dates in warm water to soften for 5 minutes. Whilst dates are soaking add walnuts, cacao and salt to food processor and blend until finely ground.
Add dates and blend until combined. The mixture should resemble cake crumbs but when pressed will easily stick together.
Place mixture into fun ice cube trays (like these) and into the freezer.
Freeze for at least 1 hour.
