My social media saviour – Meet Amelia Williams

My number one hands down most asked question… “how the heck do you do everything you do!?” Answer in short. I don’t. I have an amazing team around me and Amelia Williams who I’m introducing to you right now, is one of these little gems on my side. Amelia is my social media manager. She’s makes my life so easy. Social media is one busy gig. You’d be forgiven in thinking I sit on facebook all day. Well now, the cats out of the bag… Amelia manages it all – ok, I do share the task a little, but much of what you see on there is her. It’s just one way we can keep spreading the message and reaching every woman that deserves a chance at being the ‘better her.’ So it’s time to learn about one of the women who make me a better person. I’m so grateful for finding Amelia!

How did you get in to social media editing?
It was a bit of a “right place, right time” kind of thing actually. I’d been writing a blog for a couple of years (which I started after the birth of my daughter), so I was always on social media. I was asked if I wanted to start SM managing for a beautiful artist. And then my business grew from there and I’ve gradually taken on more clients (including the amazing Nat of course!).

What do you love most about what you do?
I love that I get to do my job from home and have it work around my family, which is something that is incredibly important to me. I also love interacting with amazing people and their enthusiastic and dedicated followers. And finally, I love that I could wear my pyjamas to work if I wanted (and let’s be honest here, I have… many times!).

What’s your favorite quote?
One I have loved since I was a young girl was “Dance like there’s nobody watching, love like you’ll never be hurt, sing like there’s nobody listening and live like it’s heaven on earth” – William Purkey.
And one that has really resonated with me since having children has been Gandhi’s famous “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. This is one I am trying to live and breath at the moment.

Being a mummy of two, what is your fave go to meal on the run?
For a healthy and super quick meal that I know my children will eat, it has to be an omlette! I generally make them with spinach, kale, zucchini, a sprinkle of chia seeds and avocado on top and gluten free toast on the side. My children gobble it up. I’m a big fan of the “breakfast dinner”.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Everywhere! I feel like I am constantly being inspired these days. Other than the beautiful Nat (who I absolutely adore and look up to in a huge way), I draw inspiration from other mothers, from small business owners who work their behinds off, from trailblazing bloggers (like Rachel McDonald or Tara Bliss), from chefs, from health coaches, from books, from my incredible friends, from my beautiful husband and children and from every day life. The world is a pretty special place and you don’t need to look far to see the beauty in the everyday.

Amelia is a little trailblazer herself! Watch this space as this Woman has many exciting things in the wings. For a sneak peak head over and check out her facebook page Nurture and Shine.

What a lovely profile! I knew Amelia would be a great person simply after seeing her name – its the same as one of my favourite fiction characters.
